FAQ

businessman hand draws solving problem diagramI. How do we calculate the price?
Price = rate per word x number of source words

The rate per word depends on document format, number of words to be translated, nature and complexity of the text, delivery time (regular or rush), and target language.

The number of source words is the number of words in the original document to be translated, as established by Microsoft Word’s “Word Count” feature. When it is not possible to determine the number of words using the computer (faxes or hard copies for example), we use the target word count, which is the word count of the translated file.

II. What does our price include?
Our price includes translation by a highly-qualified translator, plus editing and proofreading by a second translator.

III. How long does it take?
We are able to translate about 2000 to 2500 words in one day. Editing and proofreading is usually done at a rate of about 4000 to 5000 words a day.

IV. Your document is large and you need it sooner than that?
No problem. We will use additional translators, editors, and proofreaders to complete the task. Your satisfaction is our goal!

V. How do we deliver the finished translation?
Usually by e-mail, but if you need a hard copy we would gladly send it by regular mail (we pay for the stamps) or by courier (this fee will be added to the invoice).

VI. How do you pay?
We will send you an invoice together with the finished translation. You will then have 30 days to complete payment by cheque. If the price quoted exceeds a certain amount, we may ask for a down payment before starting the work.
